Why?

  • You realize that stress isn't good for your body or your relationships.
  • At the same time, you know you can't slow the world down or control the incoming stimulus.  So, you're not sure what you can realistically do to manage stress and minimize its negative impact.
  • You're not prepared to meditate for hours on end but you would like to find some simple, time-efficient techniques or technologies you can use to shed some of your stress but you don't know what those are.

 


Who?

Anyone feeling that stress is getting in the way of how they want to show for work and life and is looking for effective and efficient approaches to use that are grounded in science and have mechanisms for monitoring effectiveness.

 


What?

Half day workshop leveraging the research, tools and technologies that HeartMath has developed, which covers:

  • The science of stress
  • Techniques for managing stress
  • Demonstration of devices to monitor effectiveness of technqiues
  • Expanded capacity - as individual and in groups - when managing stress

Results

Participants emerge empowered with both an understanding and a set of concrete tools plus access to technology to increase their positivec choice in how they show up, particularly in stress-inducing situations.  As we know from Emotional Intelligence, the first and more important challenge is to manage ourselves and our own responses.  Not until we can do that can we really hear and attend to what's going on with others and engage with each other from more conscious intentionality.
